There are very few people in this world who are willing to sacrifice their time to make others succeed. There are less who want to, and even less who actually do. Wayne Chang did all three, always.

We first met Wayne many years ago as doe-eyed undergrads who were used to being taken seriously only by themselves. Wayne took us seriously from 'hello'. He made time for conversation eleven times out of ten, and the conversation left us energized even more often than that. Years later, when Beekon was nothing more than prototype and passion, Wayne looked at us and reminded us we were real. 

Wayne, 

It wasn't supposed to be this soon. We were going to get tea next week. You were supposed to get a jar of honey and we were supposed to go through k-pop recommendations. I don't think I'm going to process this for a long time.

You always fought for us to be seen. This is the least we can do as payback.

We're sorry for the time that was stolen from you. We're grateful for the time you blessed us with. You made creation and connection seem so easy.

May it be known that Wayne Chang was a champion for his mentees and the betterment of the world, wherever he went. It was an honour and a privilege to be taught by him.
